“We are continuing to expand our efforts to address the opioid epidemic, and through these grants we will be working collaboratively with colleagues across campuses, 大学, 和学科, 和社区伙伴一起, 来处理这个严肃的问题,斯特纳说.

“We have an incredible group of people dedicated to making impact in our communities through these funded projects.”

Sterner is the principal investigator on the first grant, 哪个是683美元,000 by the federal Department of Justice/Bureau of Justice Assistance. Sterner will partner with the 宾西法尼亚 State Police to use data to identify and disrupt the opioid networks in several 宾西法尼亚 counties including Adams, 坎伯兰, 多芬, 富兰克林和佩里, and encompassing sections of three major interstates (I-83, I-81和I-76), which are known drug-trafficking corridors.

它将同步创新, technology-driven enforcement strategies, which leverage information received through community input. This could be replicated in other places.”
